The answer is,,,

◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎

well,,,
Let's take a look inside it!!!

It's a strawberry!!! :O

This is one of japanese sweets ‘‘Ichigo Daifuku”.
Ichigo means a strawberry, and Daifuku is a Japanese confection, which is a rice-cake stuffed with sweet bean paste :P

There are some kind of DAIFUKU in japan.
For example, beans, other fruits, and YOMOGI(which is a kind of fragrant herb).

The Birth of Daifuku!?!?

◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎

There are historical story of the daifuku.
It was about 250 years before, the last stage of the Edo period.

There is a widow, and she was very poor.
she have to earn to live, and she made this sweets.

The Change of the Kanji of Daifuku

◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎

At first, it was wrote like second one above,
The kanji of ‘‘dai’’ means big, large, and the ‘‘fuku” means a stomach, belly.
Actually, this food is really filling, and it was the reason why it was written like that.

Today, we write for it like the first one above.
The kanji of ‘‘dai’’ is the same as another one, and the ‘‘fuku” means ‘‘good fortune’’.
i don't know when the kanji for it changed, but you can feel a sign of good luck, couldn't you?

◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎

At last :)

◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎◼︎

i like Ichigo Daifuku, and i'd recommend that you try.
but because of the stuff, it doesn't keep for long, and i'd NEVER recommend  for souvenir. Plz eat it as soon as you can.

Thx for reanding, MATANE :D
