We've enjoyed eating it from Edo period. The kanji for SUSHI is below, We have two patterns of kanji for it. The left one has two characters, which means (congratulations, best wishes, long life) and (to rule, to govern). The right one has only one character, and the left part of it means fish, and right part means tasty.
